The Madison Mountaineering Manaslu expedition team took a rest day today in base camp as they continue to prepare for their climb in the coming days. Expedition leader, Terray Sylvester, checks in from Manaslu base camp:

Hello! This is Terray calling in for the 2022 Madison Mountaineering Manaslu (8156m/26,759ft) expedition – it’s September 10th.

Today we took another rest day in base camp (4859m/15,944ft). It was sunny in the morning and then rained a bit in the afternoon. We just wrapped up dinner; we had some curried chicken, fresh vegetables, and then a strawberry cake for dessert. Then we watched Aquaman and we’re heading to bed now.

So, we’ll be in touch tomorrow from Manaslu!
