Terray Sylvester

Terray Sylvester has pursued mountain sports for more than 30 years. Originally from the Lake Tahoe area of California, he grew up rock climbing and skiing throughout the Sierra Nevada mountains with his father, Rick Sylvester. Rick is a lifelong adventurer who is perhaps best known for performing rock climbing and BASE jump stunts for two James Bond films. Terray has climbed extensively throughout the U.S., and in Canada and Africa. As a guide, he currently works mainly in the North Cascades, where he looks forward to each opportunity to share his passion for the mountains with his clients. Terray lives in Hood River, Oregon, which serves as a base for his other job as a photojournalist. His images and articles have appeared in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Newsweek and many other publications.
