Having grown up in Colorado, Conan’s love of the mountains began at an early age. He is passionate about climbing, skiing and exploring, and enjoys sharing these experiences with others through guiding and teaching. Conan has climbed extensively in North America, including ascents in the Sierra Nevada, the Rockies, the Cascades and the Alaska Range. He has trekked, climbed, and guided in many South American countries, including Chile, Bolivia, Peru, and Argentina. Notably, he has climbed and led 5 expeditions to Denali, 7 expeditions to Aconcagua and a Cho Oyu expedition in the Himalayas. Conan seeks to bring out the best abilities and talents of every expedition member to create the strongest team possible. This is balanced with a deep understanding and respect for the mountain environment, earned through years of experience. As a member of the Madison Mountaineering guide team, he combines these elements, leading climbs focused on safety, strength, and ultimately, success.
